Meet the Great Island Arts Co-op’s 2018–2019 Board of Directors!

Faith Wiley (Chair) makes comics and paintings. She graduated from Concordia University with a BFA in Painting and Drawing, and is currently pursuing a Masters in Occupational Therapy at Dalhousie University. In her spare time she enjoys tending plants, sharpening tools, reading sci-fi and fantasy, and making music.

Ned Zimmerman (Secretary-Treasurer) is a Senior Developer at OCAD University’s Inclusive Design Research Centre and aspiring carpenter. He graduated from Concordia University with a BFA in Theatre and Development, and has enjoyed melding his interests in web development and theatre in work with Zuppa Theatre Co. on their productions of The Archive of Missing Things and At This Hour. He is excited to be building upon his parents’ informal artist residency program by hosting Great Island Arts in his family home on the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

Jaime Burnet makes music, writes fiction, and works as a labour and human rights lawyer. She lives in Halifax with her partner, baby, dog, and cat, and has been trying to learn to play the drums and speak Spanish.

Rajee Paña Jeji Shergill is an Indo-Filipina-Canadian artist born in Winnipeg and currently based in Cherry Hill, Nova Scotia. Through textiles, sound, and still and moving images, Rajee explores memory, familial inheritance and diasporic subjectivity.
